Amherst College LitFest

From Feb. 23-26, Amherst College will host the eighth annual LitFest, a literary festival celebrating fiction, nonfiction, poetry and spoken-word performance, along with the College’s extraordinary literary life. This year’s lineup includes Pulitzer Prize winner Hilton Als, MacArthur Fellowship winner Valeria Luiselli, and 2022 National Book Award finalists Meghan O’Rourke and Ingrid Rojas Contreras, among others.

Wildlife in Winter Interactive Event

Holyoke Heritage State Park 221 Appleton Street, Holyoke

Explore the world of winter wildlife at Holyoke Heritage State Park. The Visitor Center features an interactive gallery for kids and families to make artful contributions to the “Wildlife Whereabouts” mural. Follow the indoor StoryWalk® Under the Snow as it leads you upstairs to the immigration exhibits. Go on an “Exhibit Quest” scavenger hunt to discover the many visitor center displays. Bring out your artistic talent at the “Winter Birds” coloring table where you can post your creation for all to see.
