The Holyoke 150th Commemorative Book
This unique colorful book includes our Holyoke history, the City Hall dedication, all community events throughout the year, and highlights the Masquerade Ball and the closing of the Time Capsule in December.
The Explore Holyoke community calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings and daily specials from restaurants.
Explore the world of winter wildlife at Holyoke Heritage State Park. The Visitor Center features an interactive gallery for kids and families to make artful contributions to the “Wildlife Whereabouts” mural. Follow the indoor StoryWalk® Under the Snow as it leads you upstairs to the immigration exhibits. Go on an “Exhibit Quest” scavenger hunt to discover the many visitor center displays. Bring out your artistic talent at the “Winter Birds” coloring table where you can post your creation for all to see. Don’t forget to stop by the “Investigation Station” to explore the insides of trees. Plenty to do for all ages.
These programs are in addition to the permanent exhibits depicting Holyoke’s paper and textile mill beginnings and the immigrants who make this city flourish.
Programs are FREE and open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Reasonable accommodations available upon request.
