Join us for a fun-filled school vacation at the ARTery! Come by and enjoy our drop-in open session where you can hang out, make works of art, complete a make-and-take project, or pick up a project kit to make some art at home later on. We'll have a variety of demonstrations and all the necessary supplies for you to get creative. This is an all-ages event, so bring your family and let's make some art together! Made possible by the Holyoke Local Cultural Council. Registration required. Adults must stay with underage participants; this is not a drop-off event.

One hour, all ages friendly! This one-hour make-and-take workshop introduces participants to some basic techniques of hand-drawn floral illustration. Participants will learn tips and techniques for drawing various flowers, including penciling, inking, and coloring, as well as composition pointers for patterns and floral bunches, wreaths, and word art. Demonstrations will include a few types of flowers and styles, including the poppy, and participants will be encouraged to use their imaginations as they illustrate their own set of notecards, suitable for framing or mailing. Registration required, $10 materials fee.

One hour, all ages friendly! In this one-hour make-and-take workshop, participants will be led step-by-step through creating colorful and bright hanging felt bird ornaments for them to keep. This project can be used to brighten a room, used as an ornament or wall hanging, or given as a keepsake. Registration required, $10 materials fee.
