Learn to design, draw, and paint your own Sassy Dame on a canvas -- this is a make & take workshop where each participant will be walked through the process of creating a Sassy Dame based on yourself (or your bestie, we don't mind). Materials will be provided for use during class, and one small square canvas is included in the class cost (participants are welcome to bring additional canvases if they would like). Registration required. $45

In this two-part workshop, limited to 12 participants, we'll learn the history of obituaries and their function, how that's changed over time, what to include and what to leave out, and discuss what role they serve. From there, we'll go through generative writing exercises to create material, write a draft, and revise with feedback. 2 sessions of 90 minutes each, $50 for both. Sessions meet from 2-3:30 PM on Feb 15 and March 1.

We love our pets, but getting a good drawing can be tough work. In this make & take workshop, you'll learn some basics of illustration and put them to work. Bring pictures of your pets (and a sense of humor) and be prepared to share. Registration required.
