The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.
This hands-on make-and-take workshop will combine art appreciation with practice of techniques as we “mimic the masters” by looking closely at Charles Rennie Macintosh’s rose motif. Participants will learn about Macintosh’s work and then get the chance to practice his techniques using mixed media (watercolor and marker). Participants will create a work inspired by his techniques. No painting skill required, all materials provided. 2 – 3 pm $25, all ages

This new indoor club will feature 15 fenced courts, a pro shop, and a snack bar, offering outdoor-style play with indoor benefits. Construction starts soon, with an opening planned for late 2025 near JCPenney.
