The Explore Holyoke community calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings and daily specials from restaurants.

Gretchen is a self-taught artist with a lifelong passion for painting and drawing. In her twenties, she discovered her love for watercolor and went on to earn membership in numerous elite watercolor societies, exhibit her work nationally, and receive many prestigious awards. Gretchen’s talent and dedication have also earned her a feature in Splash 10.
Now retired, Gretchen is embracing new creative avenues, including multimedia, acrylic, and rock painting. This is a unique opportunity to hear about her artistic journey, gain insight into her process, and get inspired by her passion for the arts.
