CANAL AND FISHWAY TOUR

For adults and teens. Two tours in one! Holyoke’s canals were the key to this planned industrial city.  Paper and textile mills set up shop as soon as sections were completed to reap the waterpower the canals provided. Learn how the waterways were constructed, how they work, and tour parts of first and second level canals. End up at the Robert E. Barrett Fishway. There you will receive a guided tour of HG&E’s powerhouse and the fishway where you can see the fishlift in operation and observe fish that have been transported over the dam. Limit 15 people. Spaghetti Supper and Bake Sale Fundraiser

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Holyoke and All Saints Church, South Hadley will co-host a Spaghetti Supper and Bake Sale fundraiser on Sunday, May 28, 2023, 6-8pm in the auditorium at St. Paul's Church, 485 Appleton Street, Holyoke.  Ticket Price:  $25.00pp, kids under 10 eat one serving free. Menu: Spaghetti with either Plain or meat sauce, Italian Sausage, Salad, bread, coffee, tea, soft drinks, wine (6oz. pour, no more than 2 glasses), music, cash bake sale and 50/50 cash raffle.

As a way of remembering, honoring, and recognizing our Veterans we will be participating and challenging YOU to do 22 pushups before our Memorial Day ceremony.  An estimated 22 veterans are tragically lost to suicide every single day. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us, donuts and coffee will be provided after the challenge and our Memorial Day program will follow.

IVHF Battle of the Badges Volleyball Tournament

The IVHF Battle of the Badges Volleyball Tournament is back for an eighth year featuring members of the New York City Fire Department going head to head with teams of emergency personnel from Holyoke, Springfield and greater New England. Spectator admission is free and doors will open at 8:45am with pool play starting at 9am and playoffs beginning around 1pm. Free parking is available in Lot M.
