Holyoke’s canals were the key to this planned industrial city.  Paper and textile mills set up shop as soon as sections were completed to reap the waterpower the canals provided. Learn how the waterways were constructed, how they work, and tour parts of first and second level canals. End up at the Robert E. Barrett Fishway. Celtic Musicians Welcome! Kira Jewitt + John Tabb/ Leads! John Tabb on button accordion, Kira Jewett on fiddle and Jim Bunting on guitar, vocals and bouzouki.  Together they play traditional tunes with tight, driving rhythm, interspersed with Jim’s unique take on Ireland’s song repertoire.   John Tabb is well known throughout southern New England for his box playing and leads weekly sessions at the Irish Cultural Center of Western New England. Spaghetti Supper and Bake Sale Fundraiser

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Holyoke and All Saints Church, South Hadley will co-host a Spaghetti Supper and Bake Sale fundraiser on Sunday, May 28, 2023, 6-8pm in the auditorium at St. Paul's Church, 485 Appleton Street, Holyoke.  Ticket Price:  $25.00pp, kids under 10 eat one serving free. Menu: Spaghetti with either Plain or meat sauce, Italian Sausage, Salad, bread, coffee, tea, soft drinks, wine (6oz. pour, no more than 2 glasses), music, cash bake sale and 50/50 cash raffle.

22 Challenge

As a way of remembering, honoring, and recognizing our Veterans we will be participating and challenging YOU to do 22 pushups before our Memorial Day ceremony.  An estimated 22 veterans are tragically lost to suicide every single day. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us, donuts and coffee will be provided after the challenge and our Memorial Day program will follow.
