Put this Celtic event on your calendar for March 25... It's a fundraiser for our veterans at the Holyoke Soldier's Home! Always a crowd pleaser, this event combines ancient (and modern) Celtic music with Middle Eastern and Tribal Dance performances. Bring your friends to this unique show, and support our veterans all at the same time. The Holyoke American Legion Post #351, at 50 St. Kolbe Drive in Holyoke, is sponsoring this event along with dancer Kathleen Laughlin. Visit the Easter Bunny in an inclusive atmosphere on Sunday, March 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Café Square. Exclusively for children & families with special needs. Reservations are required for this private photo experience. Donations will be collected on behalf of Autism Speaks. Reservations are encouraged. Walk-up visits available as space permits. Intelligent Lives follows the lives of young adults with intellectual disabilities as they tackle preconceptions of intelligence in the classroom, on campus, and the workplace. Light refreshments will be provided, as well as information packets and fidgets. Families, students, and professionals are welcome! Join us as architectural historian Alain Munkittrick presents images and stories from his new book, Historic Houses of the Connecticut River Valley (Arcadia, 2023). Three years in the making, the book takes readers on a series of thematic historic tours along the river’s 410 miles, focusing on the homes of the businessmen, landowners, social reformers, and intellectuals who settled up and down the valley.
