Holyoke’s Historic Canals & Dam

Join the park interpreter for a 2-hour walk along Holyoke’s canal system. We explore history, engineering prowess, mill operation and the power of water as we walk along parts of the first and second level canals of this fascinating planned industrial city. Distance: 2.0 miles. Meet at the Visitor Center. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather Severe weather cancels.

Holyoke Health Center is hosting a community wide Health Fair on June 18th at 261 Maple Street, Holyoke, MA from 11am-2pm.  Please join us to learn about your health and participate in fun activities such as yoga, acupuncture, chair massage and mindfulness.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Rowers Unlimited – Adaptive Rowing with Holyoke Rows & Special Olympics Western Mass

Come join Rowers Unlimited, an adaptive rowing team for people with disabilities, in partnership with Special Olympics--Western Massachusetts. Started in Summer 2022, Rowers Unlimited has already become a boathouse favorite. Come experience the joy of rowing on the Connecticut River in an encouraging and supportive environment! No experience necessary. All are welcome, including support people. Come join the park interpreter for a leisurely walk along the canals of Holyoke. This  walk is geared especially for seniors but welcomes  LGBTQIA+ community, families and everyone. Each week’s walk features a different route and informal interpretation on topics such as canal trivia, fish, waterfowl, invasive plants, or notable trees. Meet at the Visitor Center of Holyoke Heritage State Park. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather. Severe weather cancels.
