Events Calendar

The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.

You Can Camp!

For kids 8 and up and their families.

What comes to mind when you think of camping? Tents? Campfires? Starry Skies? Being outdoors?  All of this is possible when you go camping.  Come learn about camping at Holyoke Heritage State Park. Take a “Leave No Trace” hike. Set up a tent. Try out camping equipment.  Enjoy a guided StoryWalk® of “The Camping Trip” with Spanish interpretation. Learn where you can go camping nearby.

This program is co-sponsored by the Appalachian Mountain Club Family Outings Committee, and Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

Free and open to the public.  All children must be accompanied by an adult. Reasonable accommodations available upon request. Please follow all current COVID guidelines; visit Mass.gov/COVID.

Meet at the Visitor Center at Holyoke Heritage State Park located at 221 Appleton Street in Holyoke. Accessible by PVTA public transit.
