Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.

Get ready for one of Holyoke’s most beloved—and creative—annual events! The Great Holyoke Brick Race is part art project, part engineering challenge, and 100% fun. Participants of all ages design and build gravity-powered vehicles around a standard brick and send them careening down a custom ramp for speed, style, and bragging rights.
Expect the unexpected—these bricks don’t just roll, they fly, flip, and dazzle with outrageous designs and inventive mechanics.
