In honor of the 150th anniversary of Wistariahurst’s relocation to the City of Holyoke, the museum is inviting guests to explore its halls and enjoy “Sunday Fundays!” Starting July 14th, guests and their loved ones can stop by Wistariahurst Museum from 3 pm to 6 pm for an afternoon of fun activities! Experience the magic of the first floor at Wistariahurst Museum during our Self-Guided Tour hours! Delve into each enchanting room, starting from the graceful marble lobby to the mesmerizing music room, accompanied by our informative guide pamphlets in English and Spanish.
That’s not all! We have added a new, fun activity that will entertain and educate all who participate: Winston’s Scavenger Hunt! Search for Winston’s clues to answer historical questions and learn more about the museum while you explore each of the rooms. Best of all, there is no time limit to this scavenger hunt, so all can enjoy this activity at their own pace. At the end of your hunt, stop by the front desk to show your answers and win a fun prize!
Looking for a challenge? Staff are on the lookout for Winston the Wisty Lion and need your help! Winston is sleeping somewhere in our museum, but we can’t find him! During your self-guided tour, keep your eyes open for our lethargic, little lion. When you find him, don’t shout and wake him up! Take a picture or selfie with him and show your picture to our front desk attendant to get an exclusive Winston sticker!
Are you a fan of board games and family bonding experiences? Meet us in the Music Room! We will have a selection of board and lawn games for guests to engage with! Enjoy games such as large Jenga and Connect Four, or compete with loved ones with options of board games for you to choose from! This includes “All Around Town,” a tabletop board game that will help you learn your way around Holyoke! Don’t let your summer Sundays go to waste! Celebrate the season and bond with loved ones in our halls while learning more about Wistarahurst Museum, Holyoke’s hidden gem! Best of all, Sunday Fundays are free and open to the public, so make sure you plan to stop by!
