Wistariahurst offers a wide variety of programs, educational opportunities, and events including workshops, concerts, lectures and demonstrations designed to be of service to and enhance the quality of life of Holyoke residents.
The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.

Travel back in time and discover the untold stories of the servants who made Wistariahurst a home with the “Spring Cleaning with the Skinner Servants” tour on April 23rd, 2023. This exclusive tour takes you behind the scenes and gives you a glimpse into the daily lives and careers of the dedicated servants who worked tirelessly to keep the household running smoothly.
Meet the servants in person and hear their personal stories as you explore the historic house. From cooking and cleaning to tending the gardens and caring for the family’s prized possessions, you’ll gain a newfound appreciation for the hard work and dedication required to maintain a household in the 19th to early 20th century.
Registration is required for this unique journey into the past, with member tickets priced at $15 and regular tickets at $18. Join us and discover the often overlooked but vital role that servants played in the history of Wistariahurst.
