The Explore Holyoke community calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings and daily specials from restaurants.
Speaking Out: Leading Change for Women and Girls to benefit Girl’s inc of the Valley, an evening dedicated to discussing critical issues faced by women and girls in our community. This inspiring event will be held on October 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Log Cabin.
We will be featuring a panel of experts (Including Holyoke’s own City Council President, Tessa Murphy-Romboletti!) who are set to spark a dynamic dialogue on leadership, the wage gap and pay equity, civic engagement, and more. In addition, guests will have the unique opportunity to meet inspiring youth leaders from Girls Inc., who are making a real impact in our community. It promises to be an empowering and uplifting evening to benefit Girl’s inc of the Valley!

This free, family-friendly event showcases classic cars, hot rods, and custom rides from across the region, offering a perfect addition to a fun day of races and community activities in Holyoke.
As the name implies, a “Brick Race” involves designing and building a brick racer that is cleverly mounted on wheels and raced down an inclined track using only gravity to cross the finish line.
