Events Calendar

The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.

Shad Festival 2026

June 7

You’re invited to our second annual Shad Festival–
a celebration of the Connecticut River and the annual shad migration in western Massachusetts!
Join us for delicious food, crew races, kayak adventures, river-themed arts and crafts, fishing, shad planking, vendors, music, ice cream and much more.

Date: June 7

Parking: Free parking along both sides of Main Street & in the Dean High School parking lot

Location: Holyoke Rows, 25 Jones Ferry Rd., Holyoke, MA
