The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.
Get ready to geek out at this year’s House of Colors Queer Prom! This year’s theme is PROMICON — a cosplay, comic-con-inspired celebration where queer joy, fandoms, creativity, and community collide.
Queer Prom is a FREE LGBTQ+ youth event for ages 13–24 and allies. Whether you arrive in full cosplay, a fursuit, fandom merch, glam formalwear, or just your favorite fit, this is your night to celebrate exactly who you are.
This year’s activities include:
Cosplay Runway — show off your cosplay, fursuit, character look, or iconic outfit
K-Pop Random Dance Game — featuring songs from BTS, Twice, Le Sserafim, Got7, Illit, Katseye, and more
Kandi Bracelet Making
DIY Manga & Mini Comic Zines
Polaroid & Photocard Decorating Station
Drag performances, dancing, games, music, and more
To help protect attendees’ privacy, photos taken during the event are for memories only. Any public photos shared will feature performers or event spaces only.

This event is strictly for LGBTQ+ youth and allies ages 13–24
The event is PG-13
No prop weapons allowed
Cosplays should remain convention-appropriate and non-explicit
If attending with friends, each person must RSVP separately so organizers can keep an accurate headcount.
