The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.
Join us July 12th at Holyoke Heritage State Park from 11 AM – 1 PM for a FREE afternoon of painting outdoors, also known as “Plein Air” painting. We provide all materials, plus instruction. Get inspired by your natural surroundings and create a unique piece of art to commemorate your summer afternoon in Holyoke.
This event is open to people of all ages and abilities.
This program has been made possible with support from the Holyoke Cultural Council, a local agency supported by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
While grant funding has supported the material costs of the Plein Air Tour, donations are appreciated to help support staffing and ensure a successful season of outdoor painting for next year!
This new indoor club will feature 15 fenced courts, a pro shop, and a snack bar, offering outdoor-style play with indoor benefits. Construction starts soon, with an opening planned for late 2025 near JCPenney.
