OPEN/OPEN: a dance workshop with Kate Seethaler + Meghan Frederick

Kate and Meghan offer a workshop drawing on techniques currently in use for the creation of their latest duet collaboration OPEN/OPEN. These include methods for generating movement in the body, scores for improvisation, and tasks for the creation of new choreographies. Kate and Meghan will give participants a warm-up geared towards accessing modes of interiority and porousness in the body, leading towards nuanced and OPEN dancing. They will share scores for improvising with these modes, and offer students structures to use for the generation of new movement material and ideas within the workshop and beyond.
