Events Calendar

The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.

Make and Take Valentine Drop-in & Postcards to My Future Self Launch

Join us at the ARTery for a free all-ages in-store art workshop on Saturday, February 4th from 11 to 5.
We’ll be hosting a Make & Take Valentine drop-in workshop where you can use our art supplies and templates to craft a valentine of your own design.
We’ll also be hosting the launch of Postcards for my Future Self, a new mail art project funded by the Holyoke Local Cultural Council, where participants are encouraged to create small, able to be mailed artworks inspired by what they see in the city.
We’ll have prompts and ideas for you at our in-person event and materials & instruction kits after the event if you can’t make it in person but still want to participate. We challenge you to create a postcard inspired by Holyoke using drawing, words, collage, and other means.
Some ideas and questions to get you started: Would you redesign the city’s flag? What’s your favorite thing in this city?What would you say to your leaders, elected officials, fellow Holyokers? What does Holyoke mean to you? Where do you want to see Holyoke in a year? In 5? In 25?
All are welcome. Free to attend
