Wistariahurst offers a wide variety of programs, educational opportunities, and events including workshops, concerts, lectures and demonstrations designed to be of service to and enhance the quality of life of Holyoke residents.
The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.

Holyoke, aka Volleyball City, is the birthplace of volleyball and home to the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. Celebrate that heritage with a fun filled event for players of all ages ad skill levels competing for bragging rights and amazing prizes!
Join us for the IVHF Volleyball City Grass Open on August 9–10, 2025, at the scenic Wyckoff Country Club in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Different divisions each day – Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the game, there’s a division for you, from elite Open-level competition to fun recreational play. Junior players are also encouraged to participate, and teams can include both youth and adults.
Spectators are welcome to attend for free and enjoy the full tournament atmosphere, including Center Court matches with music. On Saturday, August 9, the event features men’s and women’s triples in Open (cash prize), BB, and Legends divisions. Sunday, August 10, highlights juniors (16U and 18U) and reverse co-ed doubles for both Open (cash prize) and BB players. All participants receive free parking and passes to visit the International Volleyball Hall of Fame Museum.
Adding to the fun, there will be live music each day presented by Wyckoff Country Club—Just Go With It Band on Saturday from 6–9 PM and the Matt Gibbs Duo on Sunday from 1–4 PM. Food, drinks, and prizes will round out this festive weekend.
