The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.

Join the park interpreter for a 2-hour walk along Holyoke’s canal system. Meet at the Holyoke Heritage State Park Visitor Center. Tour starts with a bit of historical background. Along our route see headraces, tailraces, intakes, a Boyden Turbine assembly, flywheels, and get an eyeball tour of Holyoke Gas and Electric’s dam complex. Maps of the canal system are available. Distance: 2.0 miles.
Program is free and open to all. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather. Severe weather cancels.
