The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.
Ring in the holiday season with Holyoke’s beloved Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights! Families can enjoy free rides at the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round, photos with holiday characters, and festive balloon creations by DazzleDay Artists.
Later in the afternoon, City Hall will open its doors for warm refreshments, treats, and live holiday music performed by the Holyoke High School Bell and Madrigal Choirs.
The celebration will conclude as Mayor Joshua Garcia leads the Parade of Lights and the lighting of the City’s Christmas tree.

This new indoor club will feature 15 fenced courts, a pro shop, and a snack bar, offering outdoor-style play with indoor benefits. Construction starts soon, with an opening planned for late 2025 near JCPenney.
