The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.
Discover how a city originally designed as an industrial mill town is being reimagined. Learn about some innovative businesses and visit some developers that have – and are continuing to – put new life into old buildings. Easy walking tour, 1.5 -2 miles concludes at Choo Choo’s take-out at lunchtime, before walking back to the park.

Meet at the Visitor Center. Although the bridge on Appleton Street is closed, the free parking lot at 221 Appleton is accessible. To get to the visitor center, follow the sidewalk on foot into the park, passing the Merry-Go-Round. Veer left at the sidewalk fork up to the Visitor Center.
Tour is free. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather but rain or extreme weather cancels. Bring water. Registration is required through Meetup or by calling 413-534-1723.
