The Holyoke 150th Commemorative Book
This unique colorful book includes our Holyoke history, the City Hall dedication, all community events throughout the year, and highlights the Masquerade Ball and the closing of the Time Capsule in December.
The Explore Holyoke community calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings and daily specials from restaurants.
The Massachusetts Academy of Ballet performs its whimsical rendition of the Nutcracker with an homage to Holyoke. The production is set in the Wistariahurst Mansion and the Holyoke Opera House and weaves bit of the Skinner family and weaves inventive choreography danced by students at MAB and MABETA. Skinner family cousins William & Ruth dance enjoying the Holiday, then the evening turns into magical happenings at the mansion, trips to Mt Tom, and even a performance by the Wistaria Flowers and many Sweets as the Holyoke Opera House magically turns into a candy box.
