EAT. SHOP. PLAY.
Visit Holyoke Mall, Western New England’s Premier Shopping, Dining & Entertainment Destination!
*Note that the Community Field event originally scheduled for this date has been cancelled. June 11th will now be a continuation of the planting activities on Race street*
Celebrating facilities that manage rainfall using plants is central to a three-part series offered by the City of Holyoke. Each event is designed to showcase a different “green infrastructure” facility in the City and give participants an opportunity to gather and learn from hands-on activities that range from rebuilding a drainage path to getting new plants into the soil. The events are free and offer food for those attending.
Resilient Plants (Part 2) – Saturday, June 11, 10 to noon, Race St. (between Dwight and Appleton Streets). Explore urban factors that make it tough for plants to survive. Then help re-plant with native species suited to this environment.
