The day will feature events including Doors Open Holyoke, The Great Holyoke Brick Race, Paper City Food Fest, and the Valleyball Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Induction, among others.
The Explore Holyoke community calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings and daily specials from restaurants.

It’s time to commemorate freedom and embrace our country’s second independence day in the most joyful way possible! Experience lawn games, incredible music, delicious treats from local Black vendors, stunning face painting, and hands-on art projects. Capture your story through oral history activities and be part of history. Let’s celebrate the vibrant tapestry of Black history, life, and culture that has shaped Holyoke.
Juneteenth is a reminder of the incredible resilience of Black life. It symbolizes the struggles and triumphs of formerly enslaved individuals as they pursued reunification, education, and political participation during the Reconstruction era. Join us in celebrating this remarkable event that is often overlooked, as we come together to never lose hope, even in uncertain times.
