The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.
The Holyoke History Room’s Genealogy drop-ins are now the Genealogy Lab! The Lab takes place in the Library’s Third Floor Computer Classroom, where each person has access to a workstation and expert advice from a professional genealogist on sources, strategies, organizing, and family tree software.
Don’t need help this month? Feel free to come to research in good company and to share your progress.
The History Room across the hall will also be open for those whose research would be enriched by our maps, city directories, biographical files, church repertoires, and more.
2nd Wednesday (November 13): Hillary Schau
NO 4th Wednesday Lab this month due to Thanksgiving.
Irisneri Alicea Flores returns, with Hillary, on December 11th to offer help in Spanish and English and guidance on Spanish-language resources.
This new indoor club will feature 15 fenced courts, a pro shop, and a snack bar, offering outdoor-style play with indoor benefits. Construction starts soon, with an opening planned for late 2025 near JCPenney.
