This unique colorful book includes our Holyoke history, the City Hall dedication, all community events throughout the year, and highlights the Masquerade Ball and the closing of the Time Capsule in December.
The Explore Holyoke community calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings and daily specials from restaurants.
Join the Greater Holyoke Council for Human Understanding for a special morning as we honor the legacy of the great Martin Luther King, Jr. at our Annual Martin Luther King, Jr Commemorative Breakfast and Fundraising Event. This in-person event will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Summit View, 555 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA, USA. We invite you to come and celebrate the life and accomplishments of this extraordinary civil rights leader. It will be a morning filled with an inspiring speech by Shannon Rudder, President and CEO of the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Springfield, uplifting music by the Bethlehem Baptist Community Church Choir of Holyoke, and a delicious breakfast buffet. Let’s gather together to remember Dr. King’s vision of equality, justice, and peace. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a meaningful event that pays tribute to one of history’s most influential figures and supports the Greater Holyoke Community with events and student scholarships. Tickets are $39.99 (scan event URL to purchase), and all proceeds support the CHU Student Scholarship Program. Breakfast begins at 8:00 AM and the program starts at 9:30 AM.
