1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture

April 16 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The Holyoke Pride Committee presents a screening of 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture, a documentary examining how the introduction of the word “homosexual” into a 1946 Bible translation influenced decades of misunderstanding and harm toward LGBTQIA+ people.

The event includes a live Q&A with composer Mary Lambert, a queer artist and activist whose work explores themes of faith, identity, and healing.

This program is part of Holyoke Pride’s ongoing efforts to foster inclusive, community-centered cultural experiences. Ticket proceeds support year-round Pride programming.
