The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.
Join us on Thursday, December 7th: The Holyoke 150th Anniversary Committee will host the Time Capsule Closing in the City Hall Auditorium Foyer at 3:00 P.M.
Mike Stone and theteam at CoFab constructed a custom-made Volleyball trophy to be home for the TimeCapsule boxes containing over 100 items.
Spanning from 150th merchandise, historic items, and messages from Holyoke 5th grade students to books by Holyoke authors, T-Shirts and various publications, the time capsule represents our past, present, and future.
The Time Capsule volleyball trophy will live in the City Hall Ballroom foyer and is
scheduled to be opened in 2073 for the city’s 200th celebration.
This new indoor club will feature 15 fenced courts, a pro shop, and a snack bar, offering outdoor-style play with indoor benefits. Construction starts soon, with an opening planned for late 2025 near JCPenney.
