Gallery hours are Mondays 10:30am-12:30am and Tuesdays 4:30pm-6:30pm For the month of March Wistariahurst Museum and Garden will exhibit the The Body / The Self, works by artists who identify as female and non-binary in a celebratory show for Women’s History Month in March. The Body/The Self, asks artists to grapple with the relationship between the body and the self. The physical body is often policed or politicized, especially for women and those who don’t subscribe to any binary concept of gender. 2nd Annual Book Group Event

Holyoke Public Library 250 Chestnut Street, Holyoke

The Greater Holyoke Council for Human Understanding presents its second annual Book Group Event on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, 4:30-6:30pm at the Holyoke Public Library, 250 Chestnut St., Holyoke.  Co-sponsored with Holyoke Community College and the Holyoke Public Library, the featured book is "Clap When You Land" by Elizabeth Acevedo.  The book explores themes of heredity, class, and privilege, as well as the complex emotions the characters feel toward their birthplaces and homes.  Appetizers provided by Paraiso Columbiano, 351 High St.
