Papermaking in the Paper City

Holyoke Heritage State Park 221 Appleton Street, Holyoke

Stop by the Visitor Center to try your hand at making a piece of homemade paper.  Holyoke was home to many paper mills, manufacturing quality paper for worldwide distribution. This earned Holyoke's nickname of "The Paper City." Kids and adults will enjoy getting your hands wet to make a special piece of paper to take home with you. Every Sunday for September and October, 2022.

In the Leslie Phillips Theater in the Fine and Performing Art building of Holyoke Community College, doors open at 2:30 for the performance which begins at 3 pm. There is no admission charge. Donations (cash and checks )are greatly appreciated. Composers born in the Scandinavian nations of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland were relative newcomers to the Classical European art scene, but since World War II their works have become increasingly prominent in orchestra programs as well as in popular music.
