A Spectacular Month of Festivities, Lights, and Community Joy!

December 2nd: A festive day with a Christmas theme. The Holyoke Public Library will host a Nutcracker Preview and More from 10 AM to 1 PM, featuring activities for children at 11 AM. Wistariahurst will have a Holiday Open House and Festive Market from 11 AM to 3 PM. City Hall and Holyoke Heritage State Park will host the City of Holyoke Christmas Tree Lighting from 3 PM to 7 PM.
Thursday, December 7th: A media event for the Closing of the Time Capsule at City Hall. Later, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, enjoy “Eat, Drink, and Be Holyoke” in the City Hall auditorium.
December 9th: The 8th Annual Holyoke Community Dinner Celebration at the Kelly School from 4 PM to 7 PM. This free event is open to all Holyokers.
December 16th: The Massachusetts Academy of Ballet presents the 12th annual Holyoke Historic Nutcracker at Pope Francis Preparatory School in Springfield. Shows are at 1 PM and 4 PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance on their website, featuring a Nutcracker set in Holyoke with a Skinner family theme.
New Year’s Eve: Look out for First Night Junior and various other events, including a toy drive, marketplace happenings, and artist sales.
Early 2024: Keep an eye out for the release of the Holyoke 150th Commemorative Book. The Spotlight version was featured in local newspapers in the third week of November. Check it out for more details.
