Race St. Salsa Fest Day One | Featuring Orquesta El Macabeo

July 18 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 am

Join us for Day One of the inaugural Race Street SalsaFest at De la Luz—a full day of food, rhythm, culture, and connection on the edge of Holyoke’s Puerto Rican Cultural District. Everyone is welcome and registration is requested to secure your spot.

Start your day early at Comfort Bagel, open at 7 AM (Newly reopened with us in Holyoke!) After 11 AM, head to the patio with your bagel (make it spicy!) and enjoy a Bloody Maria or Paloma Mimosa, paired with the first of four outdoor acoustic sets happening throughout the weekend.

At 1:00 PM, local chef Neftalí Durán takes over the kitchen, serving up delicious, authentic Mexican dishes while the bar rolls out a multi-margarita menu (plus other craft cocktail options).

At 4:00 PM, the kitchen closes in preparation for the Holyoke Food and Equity Collective’s Summer Gathering Meal—a shared community dinner open to all, with a sliding scale from $0–$20. (Advance registration appreciated.)
