Wistariahurst offers a wide variety of programs, educational opportunities, and events including workshops, concerts, lectures and demonstrations designed to be of service to and enhance the quality of life of Holyoke residents.
The Explore Holyoke community events calendar highlights the arts and cultural events throughout the city of Holyoke to help plan your visit. You are invited to submit your event. Events encouraged to be submitted are art openings, dance concerts, open mic events, cultural lectures. Events not allowed on the calendar are, political fundraisers, city meetings, daily specials from restaurants and events outside the city of Holyoke.

Join this class to make your own Chibi-style portrait painting inspired by manga and anime. You’ll learn how to paint a portrait of themselves or someone else in this playful and expressive style. Ashley will provide technical info and lead you through some creative exercises giving everyone a chance to bring their personalities to life on canvas.
This is a great class for students and young adults interested in anime art forms.

Ashley Fenix is an experienced painter and creative educator with over ten years of experience working in art, kitchen, and community-based spaces. Their work spans mural painting, cultural themes (including Taino heritage and symbolism), and personal portraiture. They have exhibited their paintings locally and continues to explore how art can connect people through shared creativity.
