Glover attended The Governor’s School for the Arts in Greenville\, SC; attended New Orleans Center for Creative Arts in New Orleans\, LA (High School Diploma); attended the Xavier University of Louisiana; attended Tufts University\, School of Museum for Fine Arts in Boston (Studio Diploma); attended Yale University\, Yale School of Art in New Haven\, CT (MFA). \nGlover considers himself a Conceptual artist who practices with mediums such as Lenticular Printing\, Graphite Powder\, Beeswax\, Dura-trans/backlit Film\, Analog/Digital Photography\, and LED Lights. Geo-Spec: Cultural Introspection Wealth explores Cultural Introspection Wealth (CIW)\, Ecological Design Services (EDS)\, and Visual Transformations (VT) with Glover’s Geo-Spec Cube series serving as a starting point for new work and as building blocks for community\, family and eco-environments. \nGlover has exhibited his work in the United Kingdom\, South Carolina\, North Carolina\, Texas\, Louisiana\, New York\, Massachusetts\, Arkansas\, Washington DC\, Connecticut\, and Georgia. DESCRIPTION:Participants will review some of the features that make something “cute” — large eyes with a highlight in the pupil\, small mouths\, added details like rosy cheeks\, eyelashes\, freckles\, and other details — and will be encouraged to use their imagination while creating various cute drawings of food (and other things — like monsters\, animals\, and more). Each registered participant will receive their own kit of tools and templates for them to keep (registration limited to 12 participants). These classes are designed for all ages; families are welcome to participate. This class series and supply kits are available at no cost to participants thanks to a grant from the Holyoke Local Cultural Council\, a program of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

DESCRIPTION:Doors at 7:30\, performances at 8pm\nSliding scale $15 – $45 \nMusical performance by Milk of Mustard Seed\nOPEN/OPEN by Kate Seethaler + Meghan Frederick\nOPEN/OPEN is a new\, duet work that continues our five-year creative research into pregnancy and motherhood as/through choreography and performance. Our movement vocabulary begins in modes of interiority and porousness\, drawing from our experiences of gestation\, birth\, and infant care. Through gestural sequences and poetic text we cast spells and crack images into myriad meanings. Our choreographic systems explore touch\, unison\, and repetition\, alongside improvisational modes in which we inhabit choreography. Through these systems we manifest logics inherent in embryological development\, the spiritual disorientation of matrescence\, and the leaky\, permeable body of motherhood. Electric blue wigs render us hyper-feminine\, mythical monsters; an image we then work to deconstruct. Through an interplay of disorientation and rigor\, our performance reveals essential mechanisms of vulnerability\, care\, perseverance and love.

Kate and Meghan will give participants a warm-up geared towards accessing modes of interiority and porousness in the body\, leading towards nuanced and OPEN dancing. They will share scores for improvising with these modes\, and offer students structures to use for the generation of new movement material and ideas within the workshop and beyond.

This immersive experience is meant to heal and melt away all stress and tension as a cocoon of sound surrounds guests. Unwind and relax as the soothing vibrations of crystal and Himalayan singing bowls\, gongs\, and other instruments wash over you. These tranquil sessions are led by the amazingly serene Donnabelle Casis\, who uses her training with KIN Unified Health Institute in Sound Therapy to help others use sound to help promote physical health and emotional well-being. \nMindfulness at the Museum will be held every fourth Wednesday of the month from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm starting on February 28th\, 2024. For a one-hour sound bath meditation\, bring comfortable clothing\, a yoga mat\, blankets\, a pillow\, an eye mask (optional)\, and a water bottle. The session costs $35 per person\, with a $5 discount for museum members with the code WISTY. Pre-registration is required\, and tickets are non-refundable.
