SUMMARY:Music for Healing | Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Music for Healing is a free exhibition of visual\, sound\, and performance art by interdisciplinary artist Angelica Olstad. At its center is Transmission (2025)\, a video work in which Olstad performs her original score at the piano while wearing an EEG machine\, making her brainwave activity visible in real time. A classically trained pianist\, Olstad collaborated with neuroscientists to better understand how music and movement can help regulate the nervous system and support healing and wellbeing in our minds and bodies. The installation includes original scores\, drawings\, and an interactive wall where visitors contribute their own reflections on healing. \nNo art or science background required. All are invited into the exhibit to sit\, listen\, move\, or simply rest. \nFree public programming runs throughout the exhibition\, including an opening reception with live performance (Friday\, July 17\, 6–9pm)\, a walking community sound bath\, a piano masterclass and listening session with the artist\, and a closing reception with an embodied movement workshop. \nVisit papercityclothingcompany.com for gallery hours and program details. \nOn view: July 17 – August 27 \nPaper City Clothing Company | 144 High St\, Holyoke\, MA 01040 \nFree & open to all \nVisit Paper City Clothing Company for gallery hours.
