This free workshop is a laid-back introduction to how film cameras work and what makes the process so special. \nWe’ll go over the basics\, from types of cameras to understanding aperture\, shutter speed\, and ISO. You’ll get to see and hold real film cameras\, ask questions\, and get a feel for the medium. Have your own film camera? Great! Bring it to class to learn more.\nThis session is not hands-on developing or shooting.

DESCRIPTION:What kind of future do you imagine for yourself? Your community? What does the Valley look like in 100 or 200 years? Visit River Valley Radical Futures at Taber Art Gallery to see how artists\, worker co-operatives\, mutual aid groups\, and neighbors have answered those questions. \nRVRF is on view January 20–March 12\, 2026 with an opening reception January 22\, 5–7 PM. \nAs always\, the reception is free and open to the public with light snacks provided.
