DESCRIPTION:Join fellow readers for the next book discussion group at Wistariahurst beginning November 18th\, 2025. Readers will dive into “Love War Stories” by Ivelisse Rodriguez. Dedicated “to Holyoke girls”\, this collection of poems and short stories examines the complexities of relationships and the grief and betrayal that can affect them. Love War Stories also delves into the experiences of generational challenges as a Puerto Rican girl growing up. About her work Rodriguez says “This collection documents how ‘love wars’ break out across generations as individuals find themselves caught in the crosshairs of romance\, expectations\, and community.” \nThis book discussion group will meet over the course of three weeks on November 18th\, November 25th\, and December 2nd from 5:30-6:30pm at Wistariahurst Museum. The required readings for each meeting are as follows: \nTuesday\, November 18th 5:30-6:30pm- having read pages 1 – 48\nTuesday\, November 25th 5:30-6:30pm- having read pages 49 – 114\nTuesday\, December 2nd 5:30-6:30pm- having read pages 115 – 158 \nVisit the Holyoke Public Library or your local branch to get a copy of “Love War Stories”.
