DESCRIPTION:A leisurely walk geared for seniors but open to all.  Join the park interpreter for some exercise along the streets of Holyoke with informal\, on-the-go interpretation. Each roughly 1 to 1.5 mile walk features a topic such as local history\, architecture\, plants and wildlife. \nMeet at the Visitor Center of Holyoke Heritage State Park. Dress for the weather.  Severe weather cancels. This and all tours and programs at Holyoke Heritage are free. Registration is requested – but not required –  by calling 413-534-1723

Held in downtown Holyoke\, the event spans two blocks filled with vendors\,\nbusinesses\, community organizations\, local musical talent\, and\, of course\, delicious food. \nA Special Purpose This Year\nEach year\, we dedicate our efforts to support someone from Holyoke who is battling cancer.\nThis year\, the festival holds a special purpose\, we are honored to dedicate our annual walk to Gracie\, a courageous four-year-old girl currently fighting leukemia. \nAbout Gracie\nOn April 11\, 2025\, Grace “Gracie” Gianna Falcon was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). \nInstead of playgrounds and birthday parties\, Gracie’s days are now filled with IV poles\, hospital stays\, and chemotherapy. Her curls have thinned\, her little hands are often wrapped in tape\, and yet—she still twirls in princess dresses and insists on painting with bright colors. ? \nAt only four years old\, Gracie has endured more than any child should. The treatments are painful\, the hospital stays long\, and the financial strain overwhelming.
