Each roughly 1 to 2-mile walk features a topic such as local history\, architecture\, plants\, and wildlife. \nMeet at the Visitor Center. Dress for the weather. Heavy rain or extreme heat cancels. SUMMARY:IVHF Volleyball City Grass Open Volleyball Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Registration closes August 8\, 2025 and space is limited! \nHolyoke\, aka Volleyball City\, is the birthplace of volleyball and home to the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.  Celebrate that heritage with a fun filled event for players of all ages ad skill levels competing for bragging rights and amazing prizes! \nJoin us for the IVHF Volleyball City Grass Open on August 9–10\, 2025\, at the scenic Wyckoff Country Club in Holyoke\, Massachusetts.  Different divisions each day – Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the game\, there’s a division for you\, from elite Open-level competition to fun recreational play. Junior players are also encouraged to participate\, and teams can include both youth and adults. \nSpectators are welcome to attend for free and enjoy the full tournament atmosphere\, including Center Court matches with music. On Saturday\, August 9\, the event features men’s and women’s triples in Open (cash prize)\, BB\, and Legends divisions. Sunday\, August 10\, highlights juniors (16U and 18U) and reverse co-ed doubles for both Open (cash prize) and BB players. All participants receive free parking and passes to visit the International Volleyball Hall of Fame Museum. \nAdding to the fun\, there will be live music each day presented by Wyckoff Country Club—Just Go With It Band on Saturday from 6–9 PM and the Matt Gibbs Duo on Sunday from 1–4 PM. Food\, drinks\, and prizes will round out this festive weekend. \nCome play where volleyball history lives—or simply enjoy a weekend of great action and community celebration in the birthplace of the sport. The brunch is pre-fix\, with access to the entire buffet. If you’re not that hungry\, choose the coffee and pastry option\, or simply come for the music. \nFor more than 20 years\, guitarist Christine Tassan has led her boat with brio\, aplomb and an absolutely contagious dynamism. One of the rare female jazz guitarist and gypsy jazz soloists\, also singer\, composer\, author\, director and producer\, she takes part in numerous musical projects in Quebec and on the international scene\, both as a leader and as a guest musician. \nWith nearly 20 years of bringing their special blend of Gypsy jazz and revisited cover songs to audiences\, Christine Tassan et les Imposteures have made a name for themselves on the music scene. \nPioneers in a domain usually reserved for men and precursors of the gypsy wave that swept across Québec\, this quartet led by guitarist Christine Tassan continues to reinvent this timeless music while integrating new ideas and influences with an originality and flair we have become familiar with. From standards to original compositions\, the Imposteures’ musical arrangements innovate\, rejuvenate and leave room for unbridled creativity from four talented and accomplished musicians.
