DESCRIPTION:You don’t need leaves to identify trees.  This ¼ mile leisurely walk with the park interpreter helps you become a winter tree expert.  By recognizing bark\, buds\, and growth patterns of different species\, you can identify many trees at a glance – even in winter. \nDress for the weather. We will be stepping off the sidewalks so be prepared to walk in snow. Severe weather cancels. Programs are free and open to the public. DESCRIPTION:In this two-part workshop\, limited to 12 participants\, we’ll learn the history of obituaries and their function\, how that’s changed over time\, what to include and what to leave out\, and discuss what role they serve. From there\, we’ll go through generative writing exercises to create material\, write a draft\, and revise with feedback. 2 sessions of 90 minutes each\, $50 for both. Sessions meet from 2-3:30 PM on Feb 15 and March 1.
