DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a fun Spring BBQ by the Connecticut River–visit the boathouse\, take a tour & learn about our Spring youth rowing programs (free for Holyoke residents)! \n\nOn Friday April 5\, 2024\, starting at 5:00 PM\, we will be opening our doors to anyone interested in learning more about high school and middle school youth rowing programs and other upcoming ways to get on the water. \nLocated at 25 Jones Ferry Rd\, our boathouse is conveniently located along the Connecticut River in Holyoke with plenty of parking . Whether you’re just curious or are an experienced rower\, this is a chance to explore our facilities\, meet our friendly team\, and discover the joy of rowing. \nWhat you can expect: \n\nA delicious BBQ picnic-style meal\,\nA tour of the boathouse and our lovely spot on the Connecticut River\,\nA chance to try a rowing machine\, see beginners learning to row and maybe even get out on the water in our very stable barge-style rowing boat (weather permitting)\,\nAn opportunity to talk with some of the fun & friendly adult rowers and coaches.\n\nThis event is free\, just register below and let us know you’re coming. \nAbout us: \nFounded in 2000\, we’re a river-based club. We believe that on-the-water rowing is the best way to learn how to row. You’ll hear us say that we’ll help anyone get out on the water\, and we mean anyone and we mean on the water!
