SUMMARY:Art Opening and Reception for "Forest\, Field\, and Flower" exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Forest\, Field\, and Flower – Intimate Landscapes from the Connecticut River Valley to Cape Cod \nThe abstract realist paintings of Holyoke artist Russell Steven Powell engage each viewer with the complex beauty of the wild. Powell’s diverse career as an author\, artist\, videographer\, and magazine publisher reflect a reverence for nature and a passion for the New England Landscape. His paintings have been widely exhibited in group and solo shows in western Massachusetts and Cape Cod. \nCome the first Saturday of the exhibit to our opening reception where visitors meet the artist. \nPowell’s colorful work can be viewed in the Exhibition Hall of Holyoke Heritage State Park Visitor Center from January 5 through February 27. Show hours are Tuesdays through Sundays from 12:00pm – 4:00pm. Opening reception January 6 from 2:00 – 4:00pm. \n
